Why does my dog needs this? (the short version)

Why is Bone Broth a superfood?

100% Beef Marrow Bones, Pork Hocks and Chicken Feet are carefully cooked over 5 days to extract all the flavour and health benefits of this superfood. It’s rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and other trace minerals, which are easily absorbable, thus assisting the immune system.

It’s great for arthritis and joint pain as it contains glucosamine and chondroitin – which help mitigate the effects of of this disease.

It’s a digestive aid as it helps break down grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and meats and is hydrophilic in nature. If if you choose to feed kibble (a food source that is high in these ingredients) it's a great addition.

It rebuilds the gut. The gelatin in bone broth helps in repairing the integrity of the gut and is effective in restoring a healthy mucosal lining in the stomach.

It combats stress + inflammation. Glycine is an “inhibitory” neurotransmitter, and promotes natural sleep and has a “quieting”, protective antistress action.

It’s great for thyroid issues. The rich source of gelatin counters the negative effects of methionine, cysteine and tryptophan leading to a more efficient metabolism (healthy thyroid).

It’s great for nails and hair. As it helps to support the connective tissue in your body and also helps nails and hair to grow well and strong.

AND - because it’s just yum! It’s a delicious bone flavoured jelly they will woof down.

The longer reasons why your dog needs this daily supplement:

What specifically about bone broth makes it so nutrient rich?

In the process of making bone broth, collagen & cartilage are released along with anti-inflammatory nutrients like chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine — compounds that help joints stay strong. Additionally, it contains amino acids glycine, proline, & arginine that all have whole-body anti-inflammatory effects. The abundance of collagen in bone broth helps structure & strengthen bones.

A major benefit of bone broth is that it promotes overall gut health:

Gelatin is 30% glycine, it’s one of the richest sources available. Glycine has been shown to improve gut health by repairing the intestinal wall & sealing the gut lining — which is essential for healing Leaky Gut Syndrome & the autoimmune conditions that stem from leaky gut, such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Allergies & Skin Issues.

Just like humans, when dogs experience inflammation & metabolic stress, their body is operating at a less than ideal state. To combat this, feed your dog anti-inflammatory, healthy gut promoting,
nutrient-dense whole foods to heal them from the gut outwards.

Suitable for all breeds & all life stages. Human food designed for your dog’s health, we promise absolutely nothing has been added, no preservatives or chemicals. salts or sugars.
